fachbuecher.de increase student loan on the home stretch - Schavan: Breakthrough
Berlin (dpa) - The BAföG highest rate backdated to 1 October rise of 648 to 670 € - where the majority go along with the states. That would be the end of a long stalemate in which it was all about money. Some 500 million euros it cost to increase. EUR 340 million will be borne by the federal government, about 170 million the country. It should stick to the agreement that the federal government take 65 percent and 35 percent of the country the student loan program costs. Education Minister Annette Schavan spoke of a big breakthrough.
